October 2004, Chobe NP, Botswana.  A big bull giraffe near the Chobe river.  Perfect light as the sun was setting - lots of birds perched on him. A herd of elephants was heading towards the river, so we stopped on the trail in their path.  This matriarch came within 15 feet of the car and stayed there for a good 5 minutes - just beautiful.
